DPDPA Tool

DPDPA Consent Form Generator

Generate a Section 5 + Section 6 compliant consent form for your use case — photographers, schools, marathons, corporates, healthcare, hospitality, retail. Output is plain English ready to translate into any Eighth Schedule Indian language with the language hint pre-filled.

How it works

  1. Pick your use case — each industry has a different Section 6 purpose statement, especially for under-18s (Section 9) and biometric processing.
  2. Enter your business details — business name, grievance officer, retention period — all required Section 5 fields.
  3. Pick the Data Principal's language — Section 5(3) requires the notice to be available in English plus an Eighth Schedule language of the Data Principal's choice.
  4. Download or copy — paste into your existing booking flow, ticketing platform, school admission form, or HR portal.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a DPDPA consent form valid?

Section 6 of the DPDPA 2023 requires consent to be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous, with clear and easily understandable language. It must be paired with a Section 5 notice setting out the purpose, the personal data being processed, the rights of the Data Principal, and the contact of the grievance officer.

Why does this generator output bilingual forms?

Section 5(3) requires that the notice and consent request be made available in English and any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India that the Data Principal chooses. Bilingual forms satisfy this obligation with minimum friction.

Is a free downloadable form enough for full compliance?

The form is the visible artefact. Behind it you still need a documented retention schedule, a withdrawal workflow, a grievance officer contact, breach response plan, and audit logs. DPDPAReady's platform delivers all of these together.

Does this form work for Section 9 children's data?

The school / under-18 use case includes verifiable parental consent language. However, Section 9 also requires you to verify the guardian's identity — that verification step is not solved by the form itself. Choose DPDPAReady for the complete verification stack.

Can I customise the form after download?

Yes. The output is a starter template. You must replace placeholder fields (business name, grievance officer, retention period). Removing the Section 5 notice elements, the withdrawal clause, or the rights summary will break DPDPA compliance.

Need the full compliance stack?
